Securing gas transports through the market area Trading Hub Europe
We would like to remind all supplier companies that under the agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Austria on the joint use of the Haidach and 7Fields storage facilities (Federal Law Gazette III No. 16/2023), the Federal Republic of Germany has undertaken to ensure the withdrawal of gas from the aforementioned storage facilities and the transmission of gas volumes intended for injection into the Austrian Market
- AreasEast via the cross-border interconnection points Überackern and Oberkappel,
- Tyrol via Kiefersfelden/Pfronten and
- Vorarlberg via Lindau
even in the event of energy supply crises (gas shortages or energy steering).
The operational handling of these transports from the aforementioned storage facilities to the aforementioned cross-border interconnection points will be carried out by AGGM (only in the event of a crisis!). To enable the operational handling by AGGM in the event of a crisis, the necessary data exchange for specific information flows with suppliers who have gas in the Haidach and 7fields storage facilities must be set up in advance.
We therefore invite those suppliers who have storage volumes in the Haidach and 7fields storage facilities, to inform AGGM of the need for such secured transportation through Germany, the corresponding storage facility and your withdrawal rate (or the withdrawal rate of the storage customer providing you with the gas). We would then clarify the operational details with you individually in a subsequent step.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
