Approval of the Long-Term and Integrated Plan 2024
Following an intensive approval process lasting several months, the Long-Term and Integrated Plan 2024 (LTiP) developed by AGGM has now been officially approved by E-Control.
This marks the achievement of a significant milestone: LTiP24 forms the basis for the forward-looking development of the gas network and creates the necessary planning security for the coming years. The 50 projects included in LTiP (25 of which are replacement investment projects) will ensure that methane transport requirements are met in line with demand, thereby maintaining security of supply in Austria. In addition, the update of the H2Roadmap and the hydrogen planning projects for the H2 Collector East and the H2 Start Network Upper Austria are also setting the course for the future of energy and laying the foundations for the efficient transformation of the energy system.
We would like to thank all market participants, network operators and E-Control for their constructive cooperation and look forward to starting the LTiP26 process with the needs assessment in January 2026 in order to take the next steps towards transforming the energy system together.
The full report and the decision on LTiP24 can be found under Long-term and integrated planning.
Coordinated Network Development Plan 2024
Following an equally intensive consultation process with E-Control, the Coordinated Network Development Plan (CNDP) was submitted for approval on 18 August 2025 after several requests for amendments from the transmission system operators. The report is currently being reviewed by the authority.
